Bike Tour in Piedmont, Italy – Cycling & Wine Week
Beyond its culinary fame, Piedmont’s true charm lies in its landscape and culture. The rolling hills of the Langhe, blanketed in vineyards and dotted with medieval villages, are a feast for the eyes, not just the palate.
This region is home to the Nebbiolo grape, which yields legendary wines like Barolo and Barbaresco. But even if you’re not a wine connoisseur, the experience of cycling through these serene hills is unforgettable.
Piedmont also celebrates sweetness, literally. It’s the birthplace of Ferrero’s Nutella and Ferrero Rocher, and the prized hazelnuts used in them grow in groves recognized by UNESCO. This is also the home of the global Slow Food movement, where quality, tradition, and sustainability guide every bite.
The trip is totally customizable and, for cyclists chasing elevation and epic views, custom itineraries can include legendary climbs like Colle dell’Agnello (22.4 km at 6.5%) and Colle della Lombarda (21.3 km at 6.8%), both with Giro d’Italia and Tour de France pedigree. And for food lovers, white truffles add an earthy luxury to local dishes.
Whether you’re here to climb, coast, or savor, Piedmont delivers.
